A story may start with a character, or a memory; a conversation, or a small moment that refuses to be forgotten. I am most inspired by the ordinary—family moments, laughter, something remembered, or a feeling that lingers. Holding those little sparks close gives me the chance to discover where they might lead; maybe a character, a scene, or even an entire story.
Writing often requires us to pay attention to the world around us. The next story might be quietly waiting in the places we least expect—a fleeting thought, a simple conversation, a familiar smile. Sometimes the smallest moments hold the beginnings of something much bigger.
